Deandra Dottin, an All-Rounder of West India, announced his resignation from the international cricket with its immediate effect on Monday (August 1). The announcement came only a few hours after the defeat of the Nine Barbados goal against Australia at the Commonwealth Games. In his retirement record, posted on Twitter, Dottin wrote, “There are many obstacles during my cricket career that I have to overcome, however, the current climate and team environment is not conductive (conducive) with my ability to develop and turn back my desires.
He then added, “With a lot of sadness but without regret, I realize that I can no longer comply with the team’s culture and team environment because it has ruined my ability to do very well.”
The 31 -year -old player, who has played 146 ODI and 126 T20I, since making his debut in 2008, is one of the best players to damage the best – with bats and balls – in women’s games.
In a career hit by an injury, his bowling is often limited, but he respectively returns 72 and 62 wicket in ODI and T20i. As a dough, he gathered 3727 and 2697 respectively.
The full retirement record reads, “Please accept this letter as my formal retirement from the senior Western Indies senior team July 1 (August) 2022. This announcement has come with a lot of contemplation because cricket is always my desire. However, when it is burning passion, we are must take the time to re -evaluate their commitment. There are many obstacles during my cricket career that I have to overcome, however, the current climate and team environment is not conductive (conducive) with my ability to be my ability to develop and turn back my desires.
“I appreciate (appreciate) the opportunities given to me and I have pondered my decision for a certain period of time. Playing for Western Indies and representing the region has become an honor. During the 14 years of playing, I have practiced the best and grew as a player in a basis physical, mental and emotional. This is a combination of this growth that has helped me in reflecting what is really important for me. With a lot of sadness but without regret, I realize that I am no longer able to do it obey the team’s culture and team environment because it has been ruin my ability to do very well. “
It is still unclear whether Dottin will be available for the last match of Barbados from the CWG Group Stage, against India, which will be a meeting that must be won for both teams to meet the requirements.
